O CABSIN – Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health is a non-profit Social Organization, governed by Bylaws, which promotes scientific research in the area of ​​Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicines (Complementary and Integrative Traditional Medicines).

We are a network of researchers that promote scientific development and the dissemination of knowledge in the area of ​​Complementary and Integrative Traditional Medicine. We contribute to the implementation of evidence-informed public policy, innovative person-centered approaches to address individual needs and global health challenges.

A Consortium is an association of several individuals, companies or organizations, aiming to participate in a common activity.

An Academic Consortium is an organization composed of academic organizations and researchers, participating in a common activity.

There are currently two other Consortiums linked to Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine in the world – the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health https://imconsortium.orgum based in the United States, and the Dutch Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health https://www .cizg.nl/home/, based in the Netherlands.

O CABSIN is the only Academic Consortium made up both of partnerships with institutions with common activities and of individual researchers from Brazilian universities.

The main activity of CABSIN is to promote scientific development and the dissemination of knowledge in the area of ​​Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine, as well as to contribute to the implementation of public policies informed by evidence, innovative approaches centered on the person, in order to meet the individual needs and challenges of society. global health.

We promote interactions between researchers and national and international teaching and research institutions, within the network of collaborators of the CABSIN with converging research interests in the field of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine. We promote the national scientific agenda, through the systematization of publications, detection of knowledge gaps, in order to stimulate and qualify existing knowledge in the area. We publish articles in indexed scientific journals and articles on the translation of scientific knowledge, in addition to organizing events such as congresses in the area and other communication activities.

The objectives are to promote scientific development and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of Complementary and Integrative Traditional Medicine. We contribute to the implementation of evidence-informed public policy, innovative person-centered approaches to address individual needs and global health challenges.

Committees are groups of researchers related to a particular topic of interest, whether a specific practice (eg, Ayurveda) or field of expertise (eg, Integrative Oncology). Committee members meet regularly and collaborate on strategic projects for the development of the area, with support from the structure of the CABSIN and national and international network. There are currently 14 Scientific Committees comprising around 90 researchers.
